Our premium venues include Sydney Opera House, National Gallery of Australia, Centennial Homestead, Botanic House, Terrace on the Domain, Reign, ESQ, Infinity, Bar 83, The Australian War Memorial, Mary Mae''s - Brisbane Powerhouse and many more!The RoleReporting to the General Manager of Operations, your primary focus is to drive continuous improvement in all measures of performance of the food & beverage operations with particular emphasis on innovation, reputation enhancement, quality of product and service, and profitability. Particular attention will be on the operations of our premium dining offering, MeGal.The Restaurant Manager will be a visible leader and promoter of change. By maintaining awareness of industry trends, consumer tastes, and new business opportunities, the Restaurant Manager will provide consistent leadership and guidance to team members while ensuring operational requirements are maintained and exceeded.To ensure your success in this role, you will have:A minimum 4 years'' experience in a similar hands-on managerial role in fine dining restaurants or 5-star hotels.A background in high-volume venues with excellent service.Experience with staff recruitment, training, and ongoing development.Capable and comfortable with making decisions in real-time.Experience in stock management, ordering, and supplier engagement.An outgoing and fun management style.A hands-on approach and a professional investment in the performance of the business.Initiative and motivation to build sales and marketing to grow revenue via the attraction of new business.Sound understanding of COGS, labour costs, inventory, purchase orders, and invoicing.Excellent knowledge of produce and beverages.Exceptional customer service and communication skills.High standard of grooming and presentation.Key Responsibilities:Maximise profitability and achieve F&B sales budgets.Ensure quality and ongoing training is implemented within all departments.Daily review & adaptation of rosters to reflect business levels.Assisting the venues to ensure reservation and customer spend maximisation.Providing very hands-on leadership and mentoring of the hospitality team and fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.Hold regular communication meetings with all food & beverage staff.Collaborate with the outlet and marketing teams to develop a calendar of events for each outlet that drives customer visitation and satisfaction.Cultivate relationships with guests, wine club members, local businesses, and industry partners to enhance brand loyalty and drive sales.Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements.Ongoing internal training and opportunities to obtain nationally recognised qualifications.Access to generous discounts across our iconic Australian venues!Sponsorship may be eligible for the right candidate.ApplyPlease follow the link and fill out the questions on our careers page! #J-18808-Ljbffr
