STATE / TERRITORY DIRECTORS & POLICY SPECIALISTSAustralia WideThe Young Australia Party is looking for State and Territory Directors & Policy Specialists to join the movement at the grass-roots level. NOT for this election but for the next.Now is the time to start building the team!Directors will control their State / Territory under the direction of the National Director and Board. Our website is built and live, but currently password protected as we build the team.We will provide you with access to our material, platforms and key policies once shortlisted.The Young Australia Party (YAP) is not yet a registered political party but will be once we secure the members needed to reach the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) threshold. On top of this we will seek corporate sponsorship and at that point, start paying Directors a salary. Salary will be pro-rata and commensurate with workload and commitments.YAP is a fresh and vibrant movement driven and controlled by young Australians. We do not and will not enter into negative political dialogue: as we play the topic not the person. We aim to change the political landscape.ResponsibilitiesAs a Director: You will initially be responsible for driving membership. As membership builds so too does your salary.As a Policy Specialist: You don''t need years of experience. You just need to understand how policy is developed and implemented. If you have great ideas, a fresh perspective, and can be a valued team player, wed love to hear from you.QualificationsDirectors: Leadership experience is key. Being a team player is more important. You will also need to be the public face of the movement in your State / Territory, so being comfortable with public speaking is crucial.Policy Specialists: Some understanding and specific interest in policy is necessary. Ideally, we want people who understand policy and have a fresh approach to solutions.SummaryIf you''re a political ''hack'' you won''t suit us.
