The Team:The purpose of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service is to support the Department to create a child safe culture, implement strategies and take action to promote child safety and wellbeing.This role is part of the Service engagement stream, reporting to the Principal Policy Officer. You will lead work in the Department''s engagement with children and young people and associated projects and activities, including oversight for the Department''s Children and Young People Advisory Group (CYPAG).The position can be located in the South, North or North-West.You will need:The ability to lead programs of work focused on engagement with children and young people.Demonstrated resilience and personal capacity to work in the area of child safety and wellbeing.Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in policy analysis, development, and implementation, together with experience in strategic planning, research, and evaluation.Demonstrated high level project management and organisational skills, including the ability to formulate and manage projects, with a demonstrated ability to meet agreed timeframes, cost, and quality outcomes.Proven high level interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills and the proven ability to consult and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, confidently and clearly convey information, ideas and provide solutions.The ability to prepare high level documentation such as submissions, project plans, briefings, and reports.Details of appointment:Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 15 October 2027.Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Benefits available to eligible candidates:Professional development and accelerated pathways.A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.Fitness Passport You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.Current Working with Children Registration or Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.How to apply:Apply Online.
