The firm has had a successful start to the year having recently deployed a significant portion of capital, with plenty still to be deployed, along with the near completion of a fundraise that will allow the team to continue to invest in and partner with high-potential Founders and their businesses. With this in mind, they are looking to hire an Investment Manager to join the team based in Sydney.The Investment Manager will be an intellectually curious investment professional with genuine excitement in finding the next startup, deep interest in a broad range of advanced technology investments and who wants to play a pivotal role in the broader investment activity of a genuinely successful VC firm. Key responsibilities will include:Direct support to the Principals and Partners in identifying and sourcing unique investment opportunities for the Fund, not least through the refinement of your own sense for a good investment and business operationsTriage and manage investment processes and the development of investment recommendationsDrive due diligence, prepare supporting documentation and undertake broader investment activities to ensure smooth execution of investmentsActive engagement with Founders and portfolio companies to support growth and value creationSuccessful candidates will have a genuine interest in technology and a clear intellectual curiosity in relation to investing and participating in the growth of this space. Through time spent and experience in similar principal investing roles, the candidate will have well developed financial modelling and analysis skills but will also have the ability to derive deeper insights beyond what the numbers tell you.
