About The RoleAt TasNetworks, were delivering a safe, reliable, and sustainable electricity network for all Tasmanians and were looking for an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) Engineer to join our Control Systems team.This role plays a critical part in delivering smarter network operations by enhancing the systems that monitor and control power across our distribution network. Youll help shape the future of energy in Tasmania through innovative digital solutions that support real-time decision-making and improve customer outcomes.Other Responsibilities Of The Role IncludeDesign and implement ADMS solutions for TasNetworks, including the integration and configuration of ADMS components such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location, Isolation and Service Restoration (FLISR), Outage Management System (OMS), and training simulators.Enhance the reliability of the ADMS and ensure the accuracy of the distribution network model used by the ADMS.Improve customer experience and drive the development of ADMS technologies within TasNetworks.Remain at the forefront of industry trends, latest ADMS technologies and best practice, ensuring our network model is kept up to date and information is provided to relevant business areas.Provide technical advice and support to ADMS users, including training of other team members.About YouYou will highlight an extensive understanding of power and software systems, with a keen eye for detail in all you do.Youre confident working with SCADA and/or Distribution Management Systems and have a solid grasp of power system modelling and engineering principles.Your analytical and technical skills span across IT infrastructure, networking, and programming (C/C++ is a bonus) and you are comfortable working with historical time-series data.You are a team player who can write clear, user-friendly technical documentation and can communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences.If you are wanting to be part of a smarter energy future in Tasmania, feel free to reach out or apply to this key role today!What''s on offerThis is a Permanent full time opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.At TasNetworks we want to power a bright future for our people, our community and our customers.
