The scope of our business, combined with global growth and collaboration result in an inclusive employee experience characterised by continuous learning, development and achievement.This position will support the Disney Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Legal team in providing expert, practical and commercial legal advice to Disneys business units in ANZ to facilitate the business achieving its strategic and operational goals.Key Responsibilities:Disney+ under guidance of the Senior Counsel ANZ, responsible for the primary legal review and clearance of core TV, radio and digital marketing and social assets and eDMs for Disney+ growth, lifecycle and performance marketing campaigns in ANZ, including providing necessary legal disclaimers, and streamlining related processes; supporting the Senior Counsel in providing legal advice for Disney+ product and platform changes, including on-platform copy review and approvals and reviewing and advising on assets for partner co-promotions; drafting of contractual documentation to support Disney+ marketing activity, including influencer agreements; and reviewing and advising on competition and trade promotions, including drafting T&Cs for competitions conducted by the Disney+ marketing teams and reviewing third party partner competition T&Cs, including prize fulfilment agreements, prize acceptance terms, materials release forms, and permits as required.Content Sales & Distribution under supervision of the Senior Counsel, drafting and negotiating licence agreements for distribution of Disney film and television content to third parties, including pay TV, free TV and streaming partners, amendments to existing agreements, updating licence agreement templates, partnering with content security technical teams, and assisting in preparing quarterly revenue recognition reports and legal analysis for Disneys finance team based on deal status.Studio & Franchise marketing supporting other ANZ Legal team lawyers in drafting standard form services agreements, agency agreements, briefs / SOWs under master agreements, partnership / sponsorship agreements, artwork clearances, influencer agreements, and other related contractual documentation to support the theatrical release of Disneys films and related franchise marketing activity, and reviewing and advising on competition and trade promotion T&Cs.Assisting in preparation of presentations, training materials, updating and maintenance of various Disney internal process and policy documentation.Preparing NDAs, amendments and extensions to existing agreements for various lines of business.Various research tasks and memos to be undertaken on a case-by-case basis to examine and report on changes to legislation, case-law and policy positions relevant to Disneys business and the media and entertainment industry generally.Ideal experience:Bachelor of Laws or equivalent.Previous experience working as a qualified 3-4 years PQE lawyer in a top-tier law firm, preferably with experience of licensing intellectual property rights and advising on consumer law.
