Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$100.00/hr - A$130.00/hrRecruitment Director | Lawyer | Connecting for BetterWe are partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to recruit a Solar Engineer for an initial 3-month contract, with the view to convert to a permanent role for the right person.This role is ideal for a technically capable and self-sufficient engineer with hands-on experience in utility-scale PV design and development. Youll be supporting the early-stage development of a solar farm project pipeline, working closely with the in-house development and engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesUpdating technical specifications and RFP documentationReviewing and evaluating EPC tender submissionsPreparing and updating basis of design documentsDeveloping and maintaining project risk registers for technical due diligenceReviewing DA-related technical studies (traffic, visual, noise, fire, etc.)Supporting site investigations, including LiDAR, geotechnical and hydrology inputsUpdating solar farm layouts in AutoCAD using PVcase plug-inAssessing tracker supplier quotes and layout proposalsReviewing PV module options and DC system designRunning PVsyst simulations and analysing system performanceAbout YouExperience in utility-scale solar design and engineeringProficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and ideally PVcaseFamiliarity with EPC and DA processes for large-scale renewablesComfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced development environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and technical documentationEngineering degree in electrical, mechanical, renewable energy, or a related fieldWhats on OfferInitial 3-month contract with a high likelihood of transitioning to permanentFlexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid depending on location)Opportunity to work with a highly respected renewable energy developerInvolvement in critical early-stage project development work across a growing pipelineTo apply or learn more, contact our team at Haines Christo.
