You will be part of a cross-functional enabling team, bringing the voice of the user to the forefront of design and development. Your research insights will help shape digital services that are intuitive, accessible, and effective for all Australians.You will play a key role in informing backlog prioritisation, refining features, and guiding decision-making across agile teams. Active participation in ART (Agile Release Train) events, PI Planning, and Communities of Practice is an essential part of the role.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with a broad range of stakeholders to identify research needs, risks, and prioritiesConduct qualitative and quantitative user research to understand behaviours, goals, and pain pointsCreate and maintain user artefacts including personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and insight reportsDesign and facilitate user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and contextual inquiriesTranslate research findings into actionable insights that directly inform product and service design decisionsCollaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Delivery Teams to refine features and scopeAdvocate for inclusive and accessible design practices through evidence-based insightsEngage in continuous improvement of research practices, tools, and methodologiesParticipate in design governance and share insights with the Design Reference Group and other forumsEssential Requirements3+ years'' experience in user research or UX roles within digital service delivery environmentsProven experience conducting end-to-end research using both qualitative and quantitative methodsDemonstrated ability to work in Agile / SAFe delivery environmentsExperience in the public sector or complex stakeholder environments is highly desirableHigh proficiency in tools such as Miro, Figma, Useberry, Hotjar, or similarStrong storytelling and communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiencesTertiary qualification in Human-Centred Design, Psychology, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related disciplineAustralian CitizenshipBaseline Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain) #J-18808-Ljbffr
