The Sustainability Coordinator will play a key role in providing sustainable outcomes for the project by supporting the project team to understand their sustainability obligations, identifying and implementing sustainability initiatives, and supporting the project to meet its sustainability objectives.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and delivery of project carbon, energy and lifecycle assessment (LCA) modellingProvide advice and guidance to the design, construction, commercial, operational, and other key project teams in relation to sustainability requirementsTrack and monitor progress of sustainability rating tool submissionsCompilation of sustainability rating tool submissionsCompile and monitor against the project sustainability reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to the project team, senior management and the clientSupport the development, implementation and ongoing management of project environmental & sustainability management systemsSupport the management of environment & sustainability consultantsUndertake environmental & sustainability field monitoring and inspections as requiredIdentify and initiate localised sustainability improvement initiativesIdentify and communicate improvements to corporate and project sustainability management processesReport sustainability performance, compliance and defectsSupport project induction and environmental management systems/tools training as requiredInfluence a positive and proactive environmental & sustainability culture across the ProjectPerform all duties in accordance with the Projects policies, processes, systems and procedures.Understand, comply, and remain current with all SSTOM policies, procedures, and compliance training as relevant to your role.Maintain up to date knowledge and application of legislation, industry standards and technological innovations as relevant to your role.Perform all duties assigned to you in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Management Plan and the Work Health and Safety legislationPerform all tasks assigned to you with respect to the realisation of positive performance indicators mandated by the ProjectCriteriaDegree in sustainability, engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent.Knowledge of construction projects and sustainability practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively within a team.Good planning and organisational skills.Working knowledge of HS&E requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.What''s Next?If you''re ready to start your career in sustainability within one of the largest infrastructure projects in Australia, we encourage you to submit your CV by clicking ''Apply''.
