We have multiple casual Triage and Assessment Advisor opportunities available, so we want to hear from you.Working under broad direction and exercising autonomy, a casual Triage and Assessment Advisor will be the first point of contact for students, or staff supporting students, who are at risk, in crisis or distress. In addition, the Triage and Assessment Advisor has a key role in prioritising student contact within Counselling Support.To be successful you will need:An ability to be flexible in regard to working hours, with availability between corporate business hours of Monday Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with occasional requirement to start work with a few hours notice.Extensive demonstrated experience working in the Mental Health sector supporting individuals with mental health conditions.Experience in providing intake and assessment, including triage using appropriate risk assessment tools.Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and knowledge.Excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to demonstrate empathy and concern for others, effectively communicating with distressed people and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to both take direction and work independently and within a collaborative team environment.Strong and demonstrated skill in prioritizing work in a pressured environment.Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience.Eligibility to register with the Psychology Board of Australia through AHPRA, and/or the Australian Association of Social Work.This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.If you have the talent, we''ll give you the opportunity.
