The primary focus of the role is to deliver engaging and effective training programs that are aligned with approved operating procedures, processes and policies and that meet the quality standards set out by Swissport and our clients. Ground Operations Trainers play an important role in developing front line employees in our airports, enabling our organisation to meet both current and anticipated operational capability requirements and equipping our people with the knowledge and skills they need to deliver safe, efficient and effective operational outcomes for our customers and to provide a safe and reliable passenger experience in the airport precinct.Please note this role may be secondary to other Ramp Service functions that are required to be undertaken by the successful applicant.Our Ramp Trainers perform a range of duties, which may include:Ensure compliance with WH&S Act, CASA, OTS, and other regulatory and company requirements.Model and promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating Swissports safety leadership behaviours.Create a safe, supportive learning environment to deliver effective training outcomes.Apply adult learning principles to accommodate diverse learning styles and enhance participant engagement.Conduct training and trainer quality reviews to improve delivery and effectiveness.Continuously identify and implement improvements to the training experience.Deliver Swissport and client training programs, including classroom theory, practical sessions, buddy shifts, and competency assessments.Support and guide employees completing eLearning modules.Participate in Train-the-Trainer programs for new or revised training content.Suggest ways to improve training delivery and administrative efficiency.Assist managers in ensuring compliance with training requirements and accurate record-keeping in LMS.Record and report training hours promptly and accurately.Contribute to the development and maintenance of training materials.Act as a champion for safety, compliance, and continuous learning.Maintain strong communication with Training Coordinators, operational leaders, and stakeholders.Collaborate with management to resolve training issues and build confidence in the training system.Proactively identify training risks and propose solutions.Your profileYou are focused on delivering exceptional and safe service.You have strong personal skills and can be an effective team player.You are committed to learning and personal growth.You are self-confident and can stay calm under pressure.You have excellent presentation and grooming.You are organised and can manage your time well.You are physically capable of handling passenger baggage and maneuvering wheelchairs as required.You have a valid QLD driver''s license (P2 MIMINUM).You speak and understand fluent English.You have basic to intermediate computer skills.You are physically fit as lifting up to 32kg is required.If successful you would need to undertake security/background checks including police check to obtain their ASIC, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and dangerous goods training at your own expense prior to commencing training.What We OfferSwissport is the world''s leading provider of ground and air cargo services.Impressive career development opportunities are also available across Swissports network throughout Australia and New Zealand.Full training provided, fully paid.Permanent secure roles.Industry benefits, and much more!If this sounds like you, and youre looking for a new challenge, rewarding new career, lots of training and development opportunities, then dont miss out apply now!At Swissport, we believe in diversity, equal opportunity, and the power of our values to drive our success.
