Here, your ideas and efforts directly shape the places where you and your community live, work, and play.Accountable for the development and delivery of CN''s Destination Management Plan and Events Sponsorship Programs, this role enables sustainable growth of Newcastle''s visitor economy and acts as the primary interface with tourism businesses, industry and government partners for the development and evaluation of effective visitor economy initiatives. With four direct reports and including Newcastle''s Visitor Information Centre, you will manage, motivate, and professionally develop the Visitor Economy team and provide visible and dynamic leadership in the management and development of Newcastle''s visitor economy.Bringing experience from a similar role, you will manage relationships with all levels of government regarding capability and capacity building, event attraction, destination marketing, advocacy and collaboration to realise Newcastle''s growth potential as a visitor destination across domestic and emerging international target markets.Life at City of Newcastle (CN)Youll get to experience your work up close alongside the brilliant minds of your colleagues who care for one another and the region.
