We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to join the Pharmacy Department at St George Hospital.In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists and other team members to support and enhance pharmacy services provided to patients. This includes assisting in a variety of operational areas such as the dispensary, outpatient pharmacy, stores, and cancer care centre. Youll also contribute to advanced practice roles, helping to streamline workflows and allowing pharmacists to focus on clinical services.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care and eager to develop their skills in a hospital environment.Pharmacy students are encouraged to apply gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing meaningfully to patient outcomes.If youre proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a dedicated and forward-thinking team, wed love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities Include:Dispensing and distribution of medications to patientsClinical support on wards, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient careSterile manufacturing duties, including cytotoxic preparationsStock management for clinical trials, compassionate/SAS access medications, and controlled drugsReception duties, ensuring smooth patient interaction and serviceParticipating in departmental quality and research activities to enhance pharmacy servicesEnsuring compliance with national and state guidelines, local policies, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) standardsBenefits:Salary packaging options that reduce your taxable income and increase your take-home pay!
