Great benefits, 17% Super, Strong Industry Connections, Value-Led and Inclusive EnvironmentWe are seeking expressions of interest for current or aspiring VE Teachers who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications OR are currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).Trades Program Areas:Electrical & InstrumentationAir Conditioning and RefrigerationAbout the role:As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools.Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments, including effective presentation and facilitation skills, and the use of flexible teaching methods.Skills and experience in competency-based assessment to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.Relevant Qualifications: Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) as a minimum and relevant trades qualifications & licenses.The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About The College of Vocational Education:The purpose of RMITs College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community, and government partners to succeed in the new world of work.
