Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join our team in Wetherill Park, Sydney. In this role, youll assist customers with parts inquiries, source and order parts, process requisitions, and provide expert advice. Youll also support inventory management, purchasing, and service job costing while ensuring smooth coordination with the Service Department. Youll have a proven track record working with fork trucks or a similar heavy equipment industry and be able to manage multiple tasks, along with excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.In return, youll enjoy great benefits, including 5 weeks of leave and the option of a flexible 9-day fortnight. If youre a team player with a passion for customer service and efficiency, wed love to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesGreet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.Interpreting the customers parts requirements.Source and order parts.Provide advice regarding parts specifications to customers as required.Organise and plan work so that it is done efficiently and in accordance with our work standards.Get parts requisition sheet signed for every parts transaction.Process parts requisitions from service and sales departments.Receiving incoming new parts deliveries & surplus parts from Vans back into the central store.Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory stock takes in the stores and/or vans.Purchasing, receive all purchase requisitions and raise all purchase orders in Great Plains for parts in the central store, vans and on-site containers.Assist costing of service jobs & participate in parts quoting.Liaise with the Service department.Assist other staff as required.Assist parts manager with attaining sales and profitability targets.Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to Make Things Right.Qualifications / ExperienceMinimum 3 years in mobile/access equipment or equivalent with understanding of construction or mining background knowledge.Understanding of customer relations and customer business processes.Sound product knowledge is advantageous.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Good written and oral communication skills.Computer literacy is essential.Team player.Strong problem-solving skills.At United we encourage a flexible and healthy work-life balance for all our employees.
