You will also be focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader by engaging, developing and coaching your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable production.You will also:Build effective relationships across multiple mine departments to support the delivery of improved productionPositively shape culture in alignment with the BHP Charter ValuesEncourage and promote continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work practices and proceduresManage a diverse team of operators in a drill & blast environmentWork within a team environment to meet budgeted shift drill targets and weekly blast plansProvide expertise and report events and hazards in a timely and accurate mannerLead and coach your team through process improvement initiativesUndertake performance, development and disciplinary conversations and reviewsIdentify, build and develop team capability through ongoing and regular coaching, development and documented succession planningAbout YouYou will have a desire to shape culture, lead a team and improve business processes.
