Job Description:This is a rare opportunity to step into a financial leadership position in a large global business reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Overseeing ANZ Pet Nutrition, you will lead robust accounting and control processes, delivering actionable financial insights that support global and Segment-specific programs and working with the business to deliver continuous improvement and alignment with the evolving needs of the business.With an eye for detail and strong integrity, you will pride yourself on ensuring a high standard of accounting accuracy (Quality of Accounts) and compliance to relevant regulation and law. Working with the finance team and collaborating with stakeholders across the business, you will have strong communication and collaboration skills. Passionate about Finance, you will also have an eye on the future and a dedication to developing the next generation of finance talent.The position offers flexibility to be based in either Melbourne or at our manufacturing site in Wodonga.Key ResponsibilitiesUse expertise to interpret accounting practices, assess impact and enforce compliance.Ensure timely delivery of accurate and complete financial information, financial statements and reports for Pet Nutrition Segment.Oversee implementation of controls framework, controls testing plan and execution, co-lead governance & control agenda with CFO and GMs.Partner with non-finance functions at unit level that may impact finance (e.g., sales, supply).Own relationship with Shared Service Provider to ensure adherence to accounting standards and accuracy of accounting information.Ensure all other financial and operational aspects of the business are compliant with local, federal, and global regulations, and effectively manage risk (e.g., tax, audits, insurance, etc.).Lead accounting for special projects, transformations, and other ad hoc business requests and support the implementation of new systems or business models.What we are looking for:A proven track record in managing complex financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capability with strong communication skills for delivering actionable insights to key senior stakeholders.Excellent policy, process, and control-orientation and experience with the proven ability to drive and hold standards across a large business.Proven Leadership capability and people leadership with a desire to progress your career at Mars.What can you expect from Mars?Mars will provide you with genuine career progression focusing on you and your career goals.
