About This RoleUtilise your Prison and Corrective Services expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at Marngoneet Correctional CentreAn Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 3: $76,817 -$93,275 plus superannuation.About The Business UnitMarngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex is a medium security facility that houses a mix of sentenced and remand men and is located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne. The role of the facility is to contain men in custody safely, securely and humanely, focusing on the individual needs of the men with the aim of providing a successful transition back into the community or on their continued journey through the prison system. The facility has a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes and provides a range of engaged services. Our highly skilled workforce provides supervision and case management and are dedicated to enhancing opportunities to strengthen prisoner pathways.About The RoleThe position of Assessment and Transition Coordinator is situated within the Offender Services Team at each prison.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeParticipating in the development, coordination and delivery of prisoner risk and needs assessments, parole applications and pre-release services within a prison locationContributing to the Case Management Review processCoordinating and facilitating delivery of sessions and services, both individually and in conjunction with service delivery providers, including co-facilitation with stakeholders and partners.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of prisonersDemonstrated ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisonersDemonstrated capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settingsComputer program skills, such as, excel for data management.Qualifications/RequirementsExperience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
