Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAt Kubota Australia and Kubota New Zealand, we distribute and provide after-sales support for high value, exceptional quality agricultural and construction machinery, equipment and products.In your new role as a Technical Engineer, you will undertake compliance, engineering and testing to ensure imported equipment and products are safe and suitable for sale in the Australasian market.Key accountabilities include:Act as the go-to subject matter expert and initial point of escalation for technical engineering issues.Perform a range of engineering activities, including risk assessments, creating CAD models, conducting FMEA activities, and generating detailed reports.Lead FMEA and testing activities for products.Define functional and performance requirements for compression ignition and spark ignition engines for OEMs.Project manage engine testing, ensuring adherence to standard methods and procedures.Provide advice to OEMs on regulatory requirements related to compression ignition and spark ignition engines.Develop CAD models and technical drawings.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to address hazards.Escalate technical and compliance matters to the Engineering Manager and external bodies as needed.Ensure adherence to all safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and others in the workplace.Undertake other duties within your area of expertise as directed.If this sounds like a great opportunity, your qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience would look something like:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automotive)Valid Driver''s licenseAbility to travel nationally and internationally (as agreed)Qualification/certification to operate construction and agricultural machinery/equipment (as required)Significant experience in an Engineer level position working within a heavy industry, agricultural, construction, power equipment contextWorking knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to Kubota products and operating environmentApplied knowledge of OHS/WHS legislation relation to compression/spark ignition engines, construction equipment and agricultural machineryExperience in conducting hazard and risk assessments as well as testing on compression/spark ignition engines, construction equipment and agricultural machineryExperience in data acquisition and data analysis (e.g. for temperature, vibration, sound)Experience designing and building wiring harnessesAbility to interpret electrical and hydraulic circuit diagramsExperience in the safe use of a range of hand and power toolsWell developed communication skills, including highly developed technical writing and report writing skillsInterpersonal and relationship management skillsIntermediate to expert skill in a range of applications, including S Office Suite/Google Suite, CAD software (Solidworks)Apply via Seek including your resume (emailed applications cannot be accepted).Kubota has a zero tolerance approach to alcohol and illicit drugs on all our sites.
