Based in the Research unit, the role will work closely with a team based across Australia and the Indo-Pacific region on projects that support a more professional, diverse and inclusive media. The GEDSI specialist will conduct high quality, evidence-based GEDSI analysis based on a strong understanding of Australias GEDSI framework and policy.The role is responsible for ensuring our international development projects actively contribute to gender equality, disability and social inclusion, meeting contractual obligations. This will involve research, monitoring and evaluation activities as well as supporting project teams with advice from community level actions to strategic high level inputs and oversight. You may liaise with stakeholders, prepare reports and project plans, and ensure activities embed GEDSI approaches delivered to a schedule. You will work collaboratively with our team, developing strategic partnerships and contributing to a positive team culture.About YouWe are seeking a well-organised, flexible and enthusiastic relationship builder who has experience in GEDSI and in international development project management. This is a hands-on role. You will be implementing as well as managing. Ideally, you will bring to our team:GEDSI expertise - experience working with Australias Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and/or non-government organisations that demonstrates your project management skills to advise on best-practice GEDSI approaches within design, implementation and reporting phases of programs, in line with DFAT requirements.Diversity of perspectives and cultural knowledge such as Indigenous Australian and Torres Strait Islander and/or Indo-Pacific lived experience or heritage.Research expertise leading various stages of research operations such as research design, methodology, quality control measures, data analysis, reporting and learning.
