Were Australias national staffing solution for all jobs from the paddock through to the plate.The Opportunity:An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a seasoned and capable Operations Manager to join a highly respected, large scale meat processing company, currently processing 750 head of cattle per day. This key leadership role offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a progressive, performance driven business that values innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.This is a pivotal appointment for a results oriented leader with proven experience managing red meat primary processing environments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be accountable for the oversight and optimisation of both primary and secondary processing operations, ensuring excellence in safety, compliance, quality, efficiency and team performance across the slaughter floor and boning room.The Role:Provide strategic and operational leadership across all processing functions, ensuring seamless execution of production activities while meeting KPIs related to yield, throughput, cost and quality.Champion a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across the plant, with a strong focus on WHS and food safety (HACCP) compliance.Lead and develop a diverse team of frontline department managers and supervisors, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture with clear expectations and growth support.Take a hands on approach to daily production planning, resource allocation and issue resolution, ensuring efficient use of labour, equipment and raw materials.Collaborate closely with senior management and cross functional departments to identify opportunities for innovation, enhanced performance and long-term sustainability.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, export regulations and company policies and procedures.Provide robust reporting and insights into operational metrics to support informed decision making at an executive level.The Candidate:Demonstrated leadership experience within high-volume red meat processing, ideally in an export environment. Previous experience in a mid to large scale plant is essential. Small plant experience will not suffice.In depth knowledge of food safety standards, WHS regulations and modern production methodologies.A hands on, grounded leadership style with the ability to lead from the floor and build credibility and respect at all levels.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial reports, manage budgets and contribute to strategic planning.Excellent problem solving abilities with a proactive, solutions oriented mindset.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence and collaborate effectively across functions and teams.A proven track record of delivering results through people development, process improvement and operational discipline.The Offer:A senior leadership opportunity within a respected and values driven agribusiness group.The ability to shape operational direction and build a legacy of performance and culture.Competitive executive remuneration package: $200,000 base salary + 11.5% superannuation + 25% STI bonus.Relocation support for candidates outside the immediate region.Career progression opportunities within a stable and growing organisation that recognises and rewards high performance.Next Steps:If you meet the above criteria, wed love to hear from you.
