Sulzer means access to the world, interaction with an exciting customer base, and a challenging and rewarding working environment.Sulzer Australia is always looking for experienced Electrical Fitters to join our team at our Cardiff Service Centre. This is a hands-on role, involving the dismantle, repair and assembly of LV and HV motors where internal and external customer service is paramount. Additionally, the role supports other Mechanical equipment (Pumps) when not working on Electrical Motors.In this role you will be accountable for:The Mechanical repair of LV, MV & HV electrical rotating machinery.Disassemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition aligned with QA procedures.Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.Carry out Mechanical repairs to Shafts, Journals and Housings as required.Determine job status, work authorizations, estimate, description of problems/expected serviceability.Correctly requisition needed items from stores/purchasing, as approved by Supervisor.Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC), i.e., NDT. Under supervision or as licensed.Repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies including: shafts, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, fans, end shields, bearing fits.Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including: parts, washers, steamers, caustic tanks, grit blasters, etc.To succeed in this role, you will need:Experience in Mechanical fitting and machining large equipment i.e., motors and generators;Team player;Drivers Licence;Proven ability to provide service delivery that is customer focused, flexible and adaptable;Opportunities for overtime, allowing you to maximise your earnings.Competitive hourly rates with a clear path for career progression.Job security - with a strong pipeline of projects across the mining and power generation sectors.Health and wellbeing initiatives, designed to promote a healthy work-life balance.A reward and recognition program - including gift cards and monthly BBQs to celebrate success.International applicants are welcome to apply.Have a question about the role?
