We act for humanity.About the roleBe responsible for a functional team that contributes to the delivery of community programs, that can include Place Based (First Nations) programs, migration, homelessness and other community needs that support clients to maintain social connectedness, independence, improve health and wellbeing outcomes.Working as part of an integrated team, the Lead is responsible for ensuring their functional areas deliver a high-quality service, is compliant with standards and legislation, and achieves operational and financial key performance indicators.The Homelessness Services provide planned and solution focused support to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We work collaboratively with specialist and mainstream services in the Townsville area to make a significant and meaningful impact on ending homelessness together.Services include but not limited to; Initial assessment and response to immediate needs, accommodation assistance and advocacy, community outreach and support, risk and safety planning, advocacy and assistance to access housing and specialist services and support to access mainstream services.What you will bringDemonstrated ability to research, assimilate and analyse complex information and use this to optimise and continuously improve business approaches and models.Demonstrated understanding of key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals.Ability to plan and implement immediate and long term operational and strategic goals.Demonstrated capability to lead teams in continuous improvement approach to program implementation and ways of working.Demonstrated interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills catering for diversity within the team, and with the ability to express ideas clearly, listen effectively and provide feedback constructively.Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in providing programs to clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including (but not limited to) First Nations, CALD and LGBTIQ+.A current Working with Childrens Check is mandatory.Why work with us?Work for purpose, know that the work you do enables Red Cross to support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability.Red Cross respects, values and encourages diversity.
