To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahscAbout the RoleYou will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.To be successful in this role, you will have:The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.About Penguin ClinicLocated in the suburb of Balmoral on Middle Head in Sydney Harbour, the health centre is situated at HMAS Penguin. Surrounded by beaches, parklands and a 30-minute drive to the CBD, the base is home to the Submarine Underwater Medicine Unit (SUMU), ADF Diving School (ADFDS) and the RAN Hydrographic and Medical School. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, pharmaceutical and mental health services.
