Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager, the role is focused on analysing revenue data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the organisation. The role is also responsible for developing client management information that supports the business needs at both client and departmental levels - ranging from client profitability reporting to developing and maintaining business information in appropriate Finance systems.The Senior Client & Revenue Analyst will also be responsible for project based revenue reporting and recognition, as directed by senior members of the Finance department.The successful candidate will be naturally curious, thrives in clarity creation amidst ambiguity, and has a data-driven, process-oriented mindset. They will have the support of a Production Accountant who will assist across administrative tasks and follow up from Job Detailed Report meetings.Reporting linesThis role reports to the Senior Commercial Manager and is based in Sydney.What Youll DoWork with finance and operations teams to improve client profitability, analysing revenue data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Develop and maintain revenue models and forecasts to support budgeting and planning processes.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation and profitability.Manage large volume of invoicing, ensuring all invoices are raised in a timely & auditable manner.WIP management; ensuring all jobs are reconciled & are in line with client contracts.Conduct regular reviews of pricing strategies, product/service offerings, and revenue streams to optimise performance.Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarising revenue performance and providing actionable recommendations.Support members of the Client Delivery team by providing reporting and data as requested.Collaborate with Department Leads to gather and analyse data from various sources to support revenue initiatives.Provide client financial analysis in the review of monthly results.Provide summary of monthly billings and reconciliation.Participate in financial audits and provide support as needed.Work within excel to create pivot tables and other necessary reports.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to revenue analysis and forecasting.What Youll BringIdeally at least 5 years of finance experience within the advertising or marketing industries (advertising, production, media, creative or other agency like settings are ideal).Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.CA or CPA preferred.Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on revenue analysis.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.Advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in data analysis and reporting.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of industry-specific revenue metrics and drivers is an advantage.WPP is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without discrimination or regard to particular characteristics.
