THE ROLE:Austrades Information Centre is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic information professional to join a small team providing specialist trade and investment research services to Austrades international network. This is a non-ongoing opportunity for a 12-month term.The position involves working in a digital library environment to deliver business intelligence and current awareness services with a focus on priority industry sectors in Australia and key overseas markets.DUTIES INCLUDE:Analyse and respond to requests by researching, evaluating, selecting, and presenting data and information to meet the needs of internal and external clients.Assist with trade and investment data queries to support industry strategy and client work.Provide advice on research techniques and appropriate and authoritative data and information sources in the context of specific requests.Organise and coordinate the delivery of current awareness services, including the creation and distribution of newsletters and alerts.Provide formal and informal training in the use of subscription databases and other information resources.Assist with registration to subscription databases and work with vendors to resolve access and content issues.Work collaboratively with internal client groups to develop and deliver tailored information services and resources.Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Information Centres intranet site.Participate in the process of identifying, trialling and selecting appropriate resources for use by the Information Centre and internal clients.Assist with a range of technical and administrative functions, including the measurement and recording of the teams activities.ELIGIBILITY:Australian citizenship our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.Security clearance our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.CLOSING DATE:Applications close at 11:30PM, Wednesday, 30 April 2025 (AEST)Given our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Austrade actively encourages applications from people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ people, women, and people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds for all of our roles. #J-18808-Ljbffr
