Department of HealthHospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals SthHospitals Sth - Surgical & Periop ServsApplications must be submitted by Sunday 04 May, 2025 11:55 PM AESTAward/Classification:Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Enrolled Nurse, Grade 2Employment type:Region:SouthLocation:Royal Hobart HospitalThe Short Stay Suite is seeking skilled, motivated and dynamic Enrolled Nurses to join our growing team.The Team:The Short Stay Suite is a component of the Perioperative Precinct and incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD), 19 bed Surgical Ward and a state-of-the-art standalone Endoscopy Suite.The Short Stay Suite is a fast-paced, high turnover unit which will provide you with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing care skill sets.You will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.The Short Stay Suite is seeking both surgical and endoscopy nurses.The Role:The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient centred nursing care, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse to achieve planned patient outcomes.You will need:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of our multidisciplinary teamAdvanced assessment, problem solving and organisational skillsPrevious experience in Surgical or Endoscopy NursingDetails of appointment:Multiple permanent full time or part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata).
