Country Club Hotel at Yea (The Country Club Hotel at Yea Pty Ltd, previously known as Carlin Group Pty Ltd) in Victoria is seeking a talented chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will help maintain our hotels strong reputation by delivering high-quality cuisine to our valued guests. This role requires a commitment of at least 38 hours (Full-Time) per week. If you are passionate about creating exceptional dishes and contributing to a great dining experience, wed love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring dishes are prepared and plated according to the menu, and working on different sections (Grill, Fryers, Larder and Pass) from time to time as per the business demand.Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and cleanliness at all times. Daily execution of cleaning schedule to ensure compliance with council regulations.Ensuring proper utilisation of kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, grills, ovens, and gas stoves.Managing proper storage and organisation of food products to maintain quality assurance.Monitoring and logging temperatures of cool rooms and refrigerators while organising raw ingredients appropriately.Training junior staff in kitchen procedures and best practices.Providing guidance on cooking techniques and offering advice on proper culinary procedures.Participating in Menu Planning, Cost Control and Budget Management for the hotel restaurant to calculate the cost of the food.Collaborating with the head chef and management to address the food preparation concerns or any other issue.Collaborating with the head chef to make the staff roster and efficiently organise the kitchen team''s schedule and tasks.Requirements:Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply and will be prioritised.Minimum Diploma of Hospitality and Management level qualification.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chef.Excellent time management skills and working effectively in a team environment.Commitment to working a minimum of 38 hours per week.Advanced knowledge and ongoing awareness of culinary techniques and practices.Salary: $73,150 AUD - $75,000 per year plus Superannuation.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and cover letter via the portal or email them to james@tooboracbeer.com.au.
