Technical EngineerInteresting and varied role with travel to various locations across Australia and APAC.Extensive opportunity to incorporate innovative technology within concrete design for projects that improve sustainability and durability.Located in either Girraween, Sydney or Keysborough, MelbourneThe Opportunity:The Technical Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing technical support for internal and external clients, product expertise related to Xypex products and solutions, and testing of existing structures using various testing methods. The role works closely with and effectively engages with customers, contractors, and internal teams throughout Australia to support project securement and ensure the successful delivery of Xypex solutions.Principal Responsibilities:Provide technical support to customers and clients, including contractors, engineers, and distributors, in the use and application of Xypex products and solutions.Engage with key Industry Bodies & Authorities to promote the Xypex range of products and assist in providing long term solutions.Analyse customer requirements and offer customised solutions that meet project specifications.Preparation of technical documentation, including project proposals, product specifications, and installation instructions.Assist with on-site evaluations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for clients and contractors.Collaborate with the R&D and product development teams, both locally and abroad, to provide feedback on product performance and improvement.Actively participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to internal and external teams related to product application, installation, and performance.Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during product presentations, tenders, and client meetings.Monitor and analyse industry trends, competitor products, and innovations to maintain a competitive edge in the market.Liaise with authorities and assist with specification development.Experience and Qualifications:Bachelors degree in civil engineering, material science, or a related field.National Engineers Register (NER) Credential or ability to do so.3+ years of experience in technical engineering, preferably in the construction or concrete industry with structural design.Strong knowledge of concrete repair, waterproofing, and construction-related products and methods.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and authorities.Proficient in the use of CAD tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Willingness to travel to project sites and meetings with key client organisations, conduct demonstrations and provide on-site support as needed.Knowledge of national and local construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.A proactive and results-driven approach to tasks and problem resolution.Ability to liaise with industry stakeholders and assist in specification development.Current Driver''s licence.About Us:Xypex is a global leader in advanced concrete waterproofing and protection solutions.
