Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Operative to join their team on a 3-month contract. As a Mechanical Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of programmed, planned, and reactive mechanical maintenance and repairs on the company''s building services, systems, infrastructure, plant, and equipment.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Operative:Perform a variety of programmed, planned, and reactive mechanical maintenance and repairs, including HVAC system maintenance and repair.Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs, such as repairing or replacing sanitary systems, pipework, drains, and heating systems.Investigate, diagnose, and repair faults, respond to breakdowns, and assist other tradesmen as needed.Modify existing plant, equipment, controls, and distribution systems as directed.Inspect, service, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.Install and remove temporary installations as required.Operate and interrogate computer-based building maintenance and control systems.Perform associated non-trade-specific tasks as required, such as cleaning, driving, and assisting other trades.To be successful in this role, the ideal Mechanical Maintenance Operative will have:Proven experience in a similar mechanical maintenance or HVAC role.Strong technical skills and knowledge of building services, systems, and equipment.Ability to diagnose and repair a range of mechanical faults.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Flexibility to work as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team.Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations.This company offers a competitive hourly rate of 18.88 - 21.68 per hour, with working hours of Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Thursday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.If you are an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Operative looking for a 3-month contract opportunity, we encourage you to apply today.
