With our extensive experience and wide-reaching network, we are proud to deliver the highest quality project personnel in partnership with some of Australias largest companies.Myndshift Group has been engaged by our client partner to recruit an experienced Risk & Compliance Specialist for their Mackay workshop. Reporting to the HST Manager you will be employed on a permanent basis whilst working a Monday to Friday roster.Key Duties & Responsibilities are as follows:ComplianceEnsure company-wide compliance with Queensland Coal Mining legislation, Work Health and Safety QLD legislation, industry standards, and corporate policies.Conduct audits, inspections, and internal reviews to assess compliance performance.Develop and implement compliance monitoring programs and reporting mechanisms.Maintain records and documentation required for legal and regulatory compliance, e.g. Mine Record.Assist in the preparation of reports and responses for regulatory bodies.RiskAssist with the development, implementation and maintenance of risk management frameworks aligned with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Qld) and Work Health and Safety QLD.Support the sites with the conduct of risk assessments and hazard identification across mining operations.Assist with the facilitation of risk review workshops and provide technical risk management advice.Monitor and report on emerging risks that could impact the organisation.Assist in the development and review of critical risk controls and mitigation strategies.Incident InvestigationSupport site with investigations into safety and compliance incidents.Monitor and track implementation of corrective and preventative actions.Ensure incident reports comply with legislative requirements and company standards.Safety and Health Management SystemLead the development of a SHMS for workshop facility, compliant to the Work Health and Safety QLD Legislation.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Compliance, or a related field.Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS).Formal Auditing Qualifications.Experience:Proven experience in a risk, compliance, or safety role within the Queensland mining industry.Strong understanding of Queensland coal mining legislation, standards, and industry practices.Knowledge of Work Health and Safety QLD legislation and standards.Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and investigations.Knowledge of compliance frameworks, incident management, and reporting requirements.Skills and Attributes:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to influence and drive a strong compliance culture.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.If you would like to discuss this role in more detail, please reach out.Contact:Mark Powell - DirectorMyndshift Group0488 745 454mark@myndshiftgroup.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
