La Trobe seeks to be a strategic partner of choice to industry to grow the impact of our research, provide opportunities for our students and support business growth and economic development.Aligned to the Health Innovation (HI) Strategy (2030), The Business Development Manager (BDM), Health Placements (HP) is responsible for supporting the expansion of health placement opportunities for students with clinical and industry partners.The BDM HP works under the direction of the Associate Dean Partnerships (ADP) and in collaboration with academic staff responsible for managing specific disciplinary needs for placements within schools. The BDM HP will maintain links with the Industry Engagement Business Development (Education) Team for professional development purposes. These opportunities are within the following three schools:School of Nursing and MidwiferySchool of Allied Health, Human Services and SportSome of your duties will include:Lead and implement a structured project plan to support schools or divisions in integrating a range of internal and external policies and demands, ensuring objectives are achieved within complex organizational structures.Oversee the documentation and reporting of planned growth per course required for placements through to 2030.Identify and address critical shortfalls in placement volume and type, developing targeted solutions for short-term sourcing.
