You will play a pivotal role in improving the organisation''s data capabilities, supporting a high-impact merger, and working closely with finance and technology leaders.Immediate priorities include upgrading several operational and financial Power BI reports to support an upcoming entity consolidation. The project pipelines include the design of new reports and leading the integration of sales data into the analytics environment.The RoleAs the Finance Data Analyst, youll bridge finance and data analytics - modernising reporting processes and driving smarter, automated insights.Key responsibilities include:Migrating critical finance processes from Excel to automated systemsDesigning and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, upgrading existing reports, and developing new insightsManaging database connections via ODBC and using M Language for API integrations (e.g., Pipedrive, Eralis)Improving management reporting and supporting finance transformationCollaborating with finance and future ICT teams to build scalable, data-driven systemsEnsuring data accuracy and automation in financial processes, including cash flow forecasting and consolidationsThe Ideal PersonYoure a problem solver with strong data skills who can deliver practical solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.You will bring a combination of:Proficiency in Power BI, including advanced DAX and M Language for API callsExperience with database connections and inserting data into systems like HanaStudioSolid understanding of financial systems and processes, particularly in a fast-paced, scaling environmentAbility to identify and implement automation opportunities in Excel-heavy processesCollaborative mindset with the ability to work alongside finance and technology leaders during a major business transformationCuriosity to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutionsYour background could be:A data professional with finance expertise (or a solid understanding)A finance professional (Finance Systems, Management/ Financial Accounting) pivoting into data analyticsA management consultant (Manager level or above) ready to move client-side and drive business transformationDue to the nature of this organisation, Australian Citizenship and an existing clearance is mandatory.Salary / RateThis role is being offered as an initial 12-month fixed term contract with a view to extend / permanency with a salary of $140k - $160k + Super.How to ApplyTo apply online, please click on the appropriate link.Alternatively, for a confidential discussion, please contact Lucas Walker on 02 6108 4878 quoting ref no. 20416HorizonOne is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and we encourage applications from people of all cultures, capabilities and backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
