Sunshine Plaza is a retail, dining and entertainment destination in the heart of Maroochydore, boasting over 300 specialty retailers, a bustling food precinct and cinema complex.You will be responsible for ensuring the Centre is safe, secure and meets presentation standards to achieve desired customer and tenant satisfaction levels. You will also be supporting the maximisation of operational efficiency and increasing return on investment whilst prudently managing risk.What you will be doingUndertaking regular inspections of the asset to determine the extent, and priority of any repair works or other attention required.Supporting the Operations Manager with driving the safety culture across the asset, both with GPT employees and our contractors, ensuring compliance with GPT health and safety procedures.Maintaining ongoing compliance with statutory authorities and enact sound engineering practices in relation to maintenance of the property structure, facade, fittings, finishes, fit out and services.Alongside the Tenancy Delivery Manager, manage the tenancy delivery process to achieve smooth transition of new retailers into the asset.Managing small to mid-sized capital projects within timeframes set as part of the asset planning process.Managing specialist contractors, ensuring their adherence to contract terms, conditions and nominated scope of works.Preparing tender and contract documentation, including obtaining pricing for works and services in accordance with company policy, procurement and governance requirements.Working with the National Operations and operational peers to maximise the assets sustainability performance and supporting the team to drive performance of the asset to ensure performance targets are achieved.What makes you stand outTo be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in the operational management of large property assets, have commercial acumen and financial management skills (incl. a solid background in budgeting and forecasting) and an understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/WHS), and legislation, including essential services and statutory requirements.You will be a natural communicator who is comfortable with building strong professional relationships with stakeholders, have excellent project management skills and is focused on the customer experience at the asset.
