It is responsible for the department''s financial and budgetary policies and processes, including statutory reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation compliance, government reporting (including Standing Directions), and facilitation of the annual budget process.About the RoleThe Director, Finance and Procurement Partnering is one of a small team of senior executives supporting the CFO in discharging these critical responsibilities. Leading a large multi-disciplinary team of finance and procurement professionals within a centralised service model, the Director Finance and Procurement Partnering is responsible for leading, managing and delivering on the business partnership with all departmental Groups based on a no wrong door'' model across financial and procurement activities.The Director is also responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the practice model that underpins the business partnership approach to deliver consistent support to the business. The role is critical in providing strategic advisory support across both finance and procurement matters.As the Director, Finance and Procurement Partnering, some of your duties will include:Leading and managing the finance and procurement business partnership teams through the integration of services and advisory support to all Deputy Secretaries and Group executives.Leading the management and improvement of the finance and procurement practice model through continuous improvement and a focus on exercising professional judgement as part of the advisory support.Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all departmental Groups including the Deputy Secretaries and relevant Group executives to deliver an effective, client-centric model of business partnership and strategic advisory services.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Highly developed knowledge and experience in the preparation, delivery and management of annual financial statements across large public sector bodies or organisations.Demonstrated experience in effective relationship management, business partnering and other client services experience.Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams within a financial and procurement context.QualificationsA relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
