Provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation. The department also offers support and guidance for the completion of RANZCOG''s Certificate of Womens Health (CWH).Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. A recent $368 million redevelopment delivered a new emergency department, ICU, nuclear medicine facility, special care nursery and expanded medical imaging services.Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. A recent $200 million expansion delivered a new emergency department, ICU, paediatric unit, inpatient wards, theatres and expanded medical imaging services. Another development is the Wyong Womens Centre, due for completion at the end of 2024. This will provide more accommodation for antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics. In addition, there will be two procedure rooms for more outpatient procedures to be performed.In conjunction with the University of Newcastle, CCLHD has recently opened the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute on the Gosford Hospital campus, providing additional opportunities in training and research.Minimum Requirements:MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.Completion of 2 post graduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years (for Australian and NZ Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway Candidates).Completion of a minimum of 3 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years (for Standard Pathway Candidates).Minimum of 10 weeks experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with demonstrated proficiency in managing O&G problems at SRMO level (with Advanced Trainee or Consultant support) in an acute Australian hospital setting, or equivalent.Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients.Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise, with demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.Demonstrated time management, problem solving skills and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills, with minimum of 30 words per minute.
