This position provides you with the ability to learn about the financial services industry, collaborate with a wide range of colleagues, build a broad range of essential skills and knowledge, and step into a professional role that includes a range of responsibilities. Working closely with the compliance team, this role will:Gain exposure across all parts of the business ranging from private wealth management through to corporate finance, sell-side research, and institutional equities.Work on a diverse range of projects that support changes and ways of working across the business.Deal with a range of issues that may be raised across the business in relation to projects, compliance, regulatory management, and advice.Build strong relationships with the business and support training initiatives.Assist with the monitoring of the trading, advice, corporate deal, and research activities that occur across the business.Assist in the preparation and presentation of key information through report writing and data gathering.Learn about industry regulatory requirements and understand how processes are designed to ensure constant adherence to legislation and regulatory body requirements.Qualification, Experience and SkillsA drive and desire to work in a broad, fast-paced role that will provide you with exposure to a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. Adaptability and a solutions-focused approach is required.Bachelors degree in a finance-related discipline is desirable.Some understanding and knowledge of the financial markets is desirable.Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.An inherent requirement of the position is to be able to confidently and professionally communicate with a broad range of stakeholders in a number of ways (email, phone, and face-to-face).Willingness and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Initiative-taking and self-directed work style.
