This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior position with real influence, where you''ll help shape credit policy, drive business growth, and support the development of high-performing credit teams both locally and interstate.The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in both mortgage and commercial lending, along with a demonstrated track record of managing a small team of Credit Assessors. You''ll have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders - ideally gained within a non-bank lending environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesLead and support a team of credit assessors to ensure high-quality and timely loan assessments.Deliver consistent and policy-compliant credit decisions, escalating where necessary.Partner with brokers, BDMs, and internal departments to deliver a seamless end-to-end lending experience.Ensure compliance with NCCP, AML/CTF, and responsible lending regulations.Identify credit risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Maintain strong oversight of fraud prevention and responsible lending controls.Contribute to ongoing credit policy refinement and assist in the design of new product structures.Support learning and development initiatives.Minimum RequirementsMinimum 5 years'' experience in home loan credit assessment (ideally within a non-bank lender, fintech, or mortgage manager).Strong working knowledge of lending regulations, risk frameworks, and credit policy development.Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build capability within credit assessment teams.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to internal and external stakeholder engagement.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex scenarios while balancing risk and commercial outcomes.Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly regarded.Relevant qualifications in finance, banking, or business.Please reach out via email for a confidential discussion at angela.stephan@marsrecruitment.com.au. #J-18808-Ljbffr
