Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.Ward Clerk (Administrative Officer AO10 A024, Grade 1 Year 1 to Grade 2 Year 4) Butterfly Ward / Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Friendly and supportive team environmentAbout the RoleThis is a permanent part time position between 12.5 to 31.5 hours per fortnight (Monday and Sunday shifts) within the Butterfly Ward Newborn Intensive Care Unit.You will be responsible for attending to customer service tasks including answering phones, responding to enquiries, greeting families and visitors, and collaborating with other staff and departments within the organisation. You will also be accountable for administrative tasks including but not limited to maintaining data within various IT systems, maintaining administrative components of patient records, and processing admission and discharges.Classification for this position will range from A010 A024 (base salary $58,442.80 - $73,444.80 per annum, plus superannuation).What youll achieve:Support the Nurse Unit Manager and Butterfly Ward nursing team by performing the ward specific duties as directed by the NUM/ANUM.Support parents/families of our patients by attending to their enquiries.Collaboration within the wider organisation and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services.Your skills and experienceProven experience working in a busy front line customer service role dealing with large volumes of people.Demonstrated experience in using various computer applications, including Microsoft office programs.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About the DepartmentThe Butterfly Ward at the Royal Children''s Hospital (RCH) is a 35-bed neonatal unit comprising of both intensive care and high dependency beds and receives up to 800 referrals per year.
