Join us in making a positive difference in the lives of those with disabilities!We currently have a vacancy for a female* support worker to join a home in Usher on an overnight sleep roster pattern. Please note that for the 8 hour unpaid sleep period between 10pm-6am, you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room.Please click below to view the roster and ensure you can work all shifts before applying.*The Employer considers that being female is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e), and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.A typical day in the role may look like:Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customers life goals and working to achieve themJoining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling, and moreSupporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration, and attending appointmentsEnsuring positive behaviour support plans are followedAdministration duties and mandatory daily reports.The ideal candidate:Must be qualified in Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) or Cert IV in Disability (CHC43115 or CHC43121)Be passionate about providing service and assistance and helping others live their best livesHave willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)Have a valid drivers licence and be willing to use their comprehensively insured private vehicle, if required, to transport our customers to activities or appointmentsWe are Activ.
