The Store Manager is vital to maintaining Neighbours Aid image and reputation to our Maroochydore stakeholders. Key activities involve continual communication between stakeholders and a confident handling of Neighbours Aid volunteers. The Store Manager is vital to maintaining Neighbours Aid image and reputation to our Maroochydore stakeholders. The role encompasses an overall management of the store offering a diverse range of responsibilities.PURPOSE OF POSITION: Manage all the daily operations and responsibilities of the Maroochydore Opportunity StoreREPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer and Operations ManagerKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSEmployee Productivity / RetentionCustomer Satisfaction / RetentionDevelop a Positive Store CultureStock ControlWorkplace Health and Safety PerformanceKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Overall operation of the store, following policies, procedures and guidelines.Banking of daily finances and reporting through POS to Head Office.Support all policies, procedures, including Workplace Health & Safety.Support the Neighbours Aid Mission Statement.To stand in as required at other stores as Store Manager or other positions as required.Coordinate the Volunteer Staff & Day SupervisorsArrange inductions of all staff following all policies and procedures.Developing and training of others including Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Work for the Dole participants and Volunteers.Organise tasks for staff/volunteers to ensure the continued efficient running of the store, including day supervisors, volunteer supervisors, volunteer staff, volunteer truck drivers/off siders & work for the dole participants.Arrange replacements for staff and volunteers who are absent.Organise staff/volunteers to take tea and lunch breaks.Delegate appropriate duties to ensure quality customer service and the smooth running of the store.Ensure rotation of duties and respond to store volunteer requests regarding store duties including cleaning.Maximise sales through the store by ensuring standards are met.Ensure merchandise and customer service standard are met.Ensure that pricing of merchandise is in conjunction with pricing guidelines.Ensure trading hours are adhered to.Organise the receipt, process and sale of donated goods.Answer phone appropriately.Arrange pick and delivery of goods.Authorise exchanges, credits and refunds.Manage customer complaints.Ensure that store and backrooms are ready for next days shift.Responsibility for and security of daily takings through store.Ensure point of sale procedure is adhered to.Ensure accuracy in organising float.Complete remittance sheet and banking of monies.Manage all register operation and procedure including EFTPOS.Supervise and train volunteers on register operation and EFTPOS.Other Duties:Maintain Neighbours Aid vehicles and ensure Neighbours Aid drivers and offsiders are representing Neighbours Aid in a professional manner.Oversee the organisation of the store, keep clean, tidy, and ensure all fire passageways are clear at all times.Maintain CCTV operations using correct policies.Keep up to date on current WH&S practices and work with Head Office to maintain WH&S procedures across the store.Arrange and promote NEIGHBOURS AID Gympie Store and the overall Neighbours Aid Organisation under the guidance of Head Office using all outlets including social media and other opportunities.Provide information on Neighbours Aid activities to customers and staff.Provide information on Neighbours Aid activities on request.Support the Neighbours Aid Mission Statement.Work for the advancement of EVERY Neighbours Aid store and assist where possible.Attend Neighbours Aid orientations, training and meetings as required.Understand, support and apply all Neighbours Aid policies and procedures.Represent Neighbours Aid in a professional manner at all times.Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all matters relating to staff, volunteers, customers, procedures and security.Promote a proactive approach to WH&S in the workplace in accordance with the Neighbours Aid Policies and Procedures.SecurityEnsuring the safety and security of Neighbours Aid store property and volunteers.Ensure responsible use of store keys.Ensure there is a minimum of 2 staff/volunteers on the premises while trading.Ensure that security procedures on opening, closing and banking are strictly adhered to.Be alert to possible theft.Ensure the confidentiality of any personal information.PREFERRED SKILLS:Previous Retail ExperienceAbility to work autonomously and manage multiple requirements.Ability to engage staff and customers in a helpful and friendly manner.Computer literacy ideally in MS Office suite.Social Media skills are an advantage.Organisation abilities and time management.Proven reliability and punctuality.Demonstrates care and commitment.To be fit and able to perform in a demanding role.QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants with a Cert III in Retail or above would be highly regarded.Drivers licence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
