The organisation fosters a collaborative and inclusive work environment, emphasising professional growth and community engagement.Role SummaryThe Assistant Project Officer will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering property restoration and modification projects. This position involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping to completion, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact community well-being.Contract until 31 Dec 2025$60.15 per hour plus superannuation7 hours per day / 35 hours per weekWork location: Campbelltown, Telopea, Bonnyrigg, Maroubra, Botany, Waterloo with WFH set-upKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate end-to-end management of vacant property restorations, occupational therapy modifications, and maintenance of lawns and grounds across various metropolitan locations.Conduct thorough assessments and scope vacant properties for potential demolition, sale, or relocation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including Housing Statewide Services, to align project objectives and deliverables.Engage and manage relationships with main contractors to ensure clear communication and adherence to project timelines and quality expectations.Monitor project progress, prepare detailed reports, and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.Ensure all work complies with occupational health and safety regulations and organisational policies.About YouProven experience in project management within the property or construction sector, particularly in property restoration and modifications.Strong ability to scope properties for demolition, sales, and relocation purposes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in liaising with contractors and cross-functional teams.Possession of a valid driver''s licence and a White Card (General Construction Induction Card).Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must have valid working rights in Australia; applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a long-term working visa.Application ProcessImportant: We prioritise candidates that touch base before any job search.
