Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking an experienced Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to join our dynamic maternity services team. This position is specifically for an After Hours MUM role, with responsibilities across the Maternity Service, including Special Care Nursery. As the MUM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of midwifery care, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality services, and leading a dedicated team of nursing and midwifery professionals.Shift PatternWeekends: Morning and night shifts (12-hour shifts)Monday Friday: Afternoon and night shifts (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)About The RoleAt Gosford Hospital, we provide a comprehensive range of maternity services to the Central Coast community, including antenatal, labour, community care, birth care, postnatal care, and special care nursery services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated midwifery professional to take on a key leadership role within one of the regions busiest and most respected maternity services.About YouCurrent registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with extensive recent post registration clinical experience and knowledge of current Midwifery issues.You possess strong communication skills, extensive experience in teamwork and team support, as well as a diverse background in paediatric care.You have proven leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to coach, lead, manage and support a clinical team.Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
