Facilities Supervisor - Balmoral State High SchoolEducation (Organisation site)Metropolitan South Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance DivisionBalmoral State High School is seeking an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our team as Facilities Supervisor. As the Facilities Supervisor you will support the Business Manager with all aspects of facilities management including cleaning services, building infrastructure, telecommunications, furniture and assets.This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.Balmoral State High School was established in 1958. Over many decades we have provided the education thousands of students have needed to begin their careers or move on to further study. Graduates have access to the full range of post-school options - tertiary study, training or the workforce. The role may include (but not limited to):Liaising with external contractorsScheduling and managing maintenance activitiesImplementing and monitoring process and policy for the issuing and control of school keysConduct inspections to ensure building and facilities comply with all security and safety requirementsMaintenance of buildings and grounds, and procurement of furniture and fittingsSupport capital works projects and arrange the coordination of minor worksManagement of Work Area Access Permits (WAAP) for all contractors on school groundsOversee facility hire activities including liaison with hirers and development of hire agreements for approvalCleaning operations including the review of cleaning areas and supervision of cleaning staffManagement of the telecommunications system and reportingPrioritise and schedule work commitments to meet agreed service standardsAssist in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunitiesIdentify maintenance requirements in accordance with Maintenance Assessment Report and school needsAssist the Business Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of grounds and cleaning staff by providing support, sharing learning and demonstrating personal integrity.Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and online applicationsKnowledge of DoE financial policies and proceduresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and initiative.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.How to ApplyPlease attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); andA 1-pg written statement in response to the attached role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).We are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.For a full list of the position responsibilities and mandatory requirements, please ensure you download the attached role description and candidate information fact sheet and follow the instructions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
