Tall Order Electrical is an electrical, automation and maintenance services business and we are currently seeking a highly motivated Electrician to join our Industrial Maintenance team!This hands-on role ensures that best practice support and first-class customer service is delivered to all our clients.As an integral member of the site Electrical team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and upgrading of equipment to ensure optimal plant performance, undertaking planned preventative and corrective breakdown maintenance, while maintaining high safety standards.This is a full-time 24x5 rotating shift role with on-call night and weekend support with further overtime opportunities available.Normal work hours are as follows:Day Shift: Monday to Friday; 6:00am to 2:00pmAfternoon Shift: Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pmRole and ResponsibilitiesPreventative MaintenanceComplete all maintenance, inspection and repair tasks as allocated on all aspects of the site plant and equipment.Working with electrical and electronic components related to low voltage systems, SCADA systems, PLC programming, drives, motors, lighting, electrical panels and circuits as well as safety system circuits.Undertake scheduled proactive maintenance activities to best ensure the long-term reliability of electrical and control systems for our customers.Fault Finding and DiagnosticsPerform troubleshooting and fault finding activities to correctly diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions on plant machinery.Contribute to root cause analysis on equipment failures and ensure follow up completion on identified actions.A basic working knowledge and understanding of PLC systems with the ability to go online and read basic codes for troubleshooting.Interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications to effectively execute installation and repair tasks.Urgent Electrical RepairsOvernight and Weekend standby / on-call response (rotating roster) to provide support and effective repair and resolution for customer breakdown.Safety Wiring, Instrumentation and Control SystemsProficiency in safety circuit wiring and the ability to troubleshoot faults within relays and programmable safety controllers.Installation and maintenance of control instruments and systems including VFDs or VSDs for motor control.Calibrating and maintaining various measurement instruments.Panel Building and Cable ManagementCable routing and management within ladder, trays, conduits etc.Wiring control panels and electrical cabinets.Teamwork and DocumentationWork collaboratively with other site Electricians, Fitters, Engineers and Production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation and minimise downtime.Recording detailed and accurate accounts of all work performed and logging reports in our online maintenance portal.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceElectrical Trade Certificate / Qualifications with current Electrical License.Minimum of 3 or more years manufacturing industry or industrial maintenance experience. (Large commercial project experience highly considered)Manufacturing or Packaging / Food & Beverage / FMCG process knowledge and experience.The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial control systems, PLC programming, variable speed drives and fault finding specifically for diagnostic problem solving. (Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 is desirable - all other related experience will be accepted).Ability to read, understand, interpret, and fault find an electrical schematic and technical drawings and a working knowledge of AS/NZ 3000.Excellent understanding of safety systems such as LOTO, work permits, hazardous work and a strong safety mindset to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.Fault finding exposure to diagnose equipment issues and identify problems at root cause.Ability to work effectively and build the necessary relationships with teammates, production and maintenance teams to achieve common goals.Possession of valid High Risk Work (HRW) licenses such as LF forklift license, EWP Licence, working at heights and confined space tickets would be our ideal candidate fit but can be attained through provided company training.Why Join Tall Order Electrical?Our company is rapidly expanding and undergoing exponential growth!
