Unique opportunity to join Newcastle Art Gallery at a time of growth and renewalFlexible working options availablePermanent full-time role, 35-hours per weekAs we prepare to open the reimagined Newcastle Art Gallery, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Curatorial Officer (Exhibitions) to join the team in this permanent, full-time opportunity.As a key position in our expanded Curatorial and Exhibitions Team, the Curatorial Officer (Exhibitions) will support delivery of our ambitious artistic program, including offsite projects and temporary exhibitions that span the Gallery''s local, national, and global remit. Under the direction of the Exhibitions Lead, you will support innovative and commercially successful exhibition projects, assist artists and curators to realise their work, provide diligent program administration, and ensure industry best practice in exhibition delivery.Collaborating across the Curatorial and Exhibitions team, you will play a key coordination role in realising high-quality exhibitions of temporary loans, new commissions, and the Gallery''s permanent collection. You will also contribute actively to the development and delivery of interpretive material relating to the artistic program, through writing, public talks and digital content in collaboration with Audience and Curatorial teams.This role will suit an organised individual with experience in supporting the administrative development and delivery of temporary exhibitions for broad audiences.
