The award-winning art gallery has a 500sqm exhibition space and growing collection with an onsite cafe and retail shop.The MAC yapang Curator and Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading the curation of an engaging exhibition program and the day-to-day operations of a contemporary public art museum. This position will create and deliver a wide range of engaging contemporary art exhibitions. These exhibitions will be developed collaboratively and in consultation with the MAC yapang Aboriginal Reference Group. The program will include touring, in-house curated, external curated, collection, and commissioned exhibitions.May operate across departmental service delivery, Monday through to Sunday; 5am 11pm.Is located at the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang with occasional visits to external sites/depots.Requires an NSW Working with Childrens Check for paid employment to be completed prior to commencement (in which the department will subsidise/refund).Will be supported to acquire RSA, Working at Heights, and First Aid certification.From time to time may be working as a sole officer within the facility.LETS HEAR ABOUT YOUWe are seeking an enthusiastic and authentic Curator to lead the development of engaging, vibrant, and immersive programs of diverse exhibitions across various media and assist in the growth and development of the Citys visual art collection. Our ideal candidate will have a wide variety of experience within the public art galleries sector with a strong focus on engagement.We want to hear about your experience developing innovative exhibitions, including exhibition design, writing, and the creation of catalogues and public programs.
