Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.About The RoleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Worker to join our team. You will provide effective service delivery, ensuring case management, assessment, referral, education and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.Reporting to the AOD Team Leader, this is a permanent full-time position, located in Gold Coast, QLD.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 4.You will successfullyDevelop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services.Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.You will haveMinimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.At least two years experience in recovery, if applicable.Sound computer literacy.Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants needs.A current QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card).A Current QLD Driver''s Licence.What We OfferAs a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as:NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650).Flexible working conditions.Health, fitness and financial discounts / benefits.Paid parental leave - 12 weeks.Up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme.Up to 5 days paid leave per year to volunteer in a TSA program or activity.Purpose driven career which has positive social and sustainable outcomes.Employee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service.Opportunity for career development.An inclusive culture of dedicated, passionate and professional team members.Positively supporting and impacting the lives of others through your career contribution.How To ApplyIf you''re excited by this unique opportunity, the above sounds like you, and you have a heart for working for an organisation that truly does transform lives, we would love to speak to you.
