Youll see what a difference your furry friend can make.As you''re bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents or patients, we ask that your pet is:Calm and gentle in natureUp-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleasNails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down.Dogs should be kept on a lead always.This role will suit you if you have a small-medium sized pet and you''re happy to just sit and not necessarily talk all the time.Your impactVolunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself.
