Add expected salary to your profile for insightsCook Medical is a global medical device manufacturer, committed to improving medical care worldwide.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Manager, Sterilisation, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of Cook Australia sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.Key Responsibilities:Operate sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment in a safe and effective manner.Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for the sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.Perform calibration of instrumentation associated with the sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.Schedule, coordinate and oversee external contractors (as required).Assist in the preparation and execution of process validations and feasibility studies.Record and review process performance and maintenance and calibration activities against specified parameters in an accurate manner.Participate in the development of risk assessments.Identify and implement improvement opportunities.What we need from you:Ability to work on a 4-day, 38-hour week rotating roster within the range of hours from 3.00am 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.Flexibility with occasional overtime as required.Experience working in a processing/manufacturing environment essential.Experience working to standard operating procedures and following WH&S regulations essential.An understanding of sterilisation operations/process desirable.Experience working with toxic and/or explosive chemicals and hazardous atmospheres desirable.Experience working with computer-controlled production processes and PLCs desirable.Strong proficiency with computers including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.High level of technical aptitude with the ability to analyse technical problems.Employee Benefits:State of the art facilityBase salary plus performance-based quarterly bonus and annual leave loadingPrioritise your physical and mental wellbeing with access to onsite gym, our employee assistance program and company paid top hospital private health coverSubsidised cafeteria, wellness room, prayer room and onsite parkingOngoing support, mentoring and professional developmentInclusive team culture with opportunities to join our community engagement initiativesAbout us:Since 1963, Cook Medical have been inventing, manufacturing, and delivering a unique portfolio of medical devices to healthcare systems around the world.
